Construction & Maintenance Committee

 

The Colonial Ridge Club Construction & Maintenance Committee, which reports directly to the CRMC Board of Directors, has the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist the CRMC Board and CRC Shareholders in proactively assessing needs for upgrades, repairs, renovations or enhancements to common areas throughout the community, including but not limited to the clubhouse, pool, boardwalk, gazebo, security, roadway, parking areas and infrastructure (such as sewer, water, electricity and broadband/TV services).

  2. Help oversee projects that have been approved and sanctioned by the CRMC Board.

  3. Provide updates and reports to the CRMC Board at its regularly scheduled meetings.

ONGOING & RECENT PROJECTS

This section is updated each month within one week following the CRMC Board Meeting, which is held on the third Thursday of each month.

  • Pool: Pool reconstruction contract signed, awaiting permits from Town of Ocean Ridge (August 2022).

  • Pest Control: Termite treatment in Mailroom & Workshop (August 2022).

  • Boardwalk: Re-decking project complete (July 2022).

  • Pool: Leak detection work completed (July 2022).

  • Pool valves: New pool valves installed (May 2022).

  • Boardwalk/gazebo: New composite decking installed (May/June 2022).

  • Boardwalk shower: New ceramic bearings installed to prevent drips and leaks (May 2022).

  • Clubhouse valves: New valves installed (May 2022).

  • A1A front gates: New gate operators, rails and chains installed (May 2022).

  • Clubhouse toilets & sink: New comfort-height toilets were installed & sink drain repaired (April 2022).

  • Clubhouse hose: New hose and hose holder installed (April 2022).

  • Gazebo/boardwalk: West bench, the south section of the gazebo and the front walkway/railings were repaired/modified (January 2022).

  • Mailroom door handle: Replaced (January 2022).

  • Beach step: Extra step added to make step from boardwalk down to beach smaller (January 2022).

  • Pool clock: Replaced (January 2022).

  • Pool dividing rope: Replaced (January 2022).

  • Clubhouse women’s bathroom: Sink repair (January 2022).

  • Boardwalk shower: Repaired sticky valve (January 2022).

  • Pool ladder: Ladder was repositioned into the standoffs and collar was re-secured (January 2022).

  • New Keypad for Front (A1A) Gate: Replacement of the old keypad so the keypads at both gates are identical (November 2021).

  • New Entry Gate: Replacement of the rear entry gate (Old Ocean Boulevard) with new keypad (November 2021).

  • Entry Gates: Repairs to front and rear entry gates (September 2021).

  • Laterals: Replacement of sewer laterals between Monticello and Mt. Vernon (September 2021).

  • Pothole Repair: Small potholes filled in community roadway (September 2021).

  • Boardwalk Shower: Replacement of beach shower (scheduled August/September 2021).

  • Speed Bump Striping: Speed bumps repainted with reflective paint/glass beads (completed August 2021).

  • Boardwalk Bench: A new bench was installed on boardwalk (completed August 2021).

  • Beach Fence: Repairs made to damaged beach fence (completed August 2021).

  • Pool Repairs: The pool underwent maintenance and reopened (completed August 2021).
